Technicon Construction through its relationship with the major manufacturers of waterproofing systems is able to offer a solution to your waterproofing problem. The 2 basic types of waterproofing systems are:
- Torch on systems
- Liquid systems

Torch on Systems
Technicon Construction is an approved applicator for abe Construction Chemicals products. This includes the Index range of torch on systems. Available in different thicknesses and finishes the Index range of products are tried and tested worldwide and come with a 10 year guarantee. It can be used in the following applications:
- Planter boxes
- Tanking to underground structures and lift shafts
- Balcony and flat concrete roof waterproofing
- Parking decks
- Roof gardens
A purpose designed system for your application will be specified by the abe Technical Consultants and will be quoted on accordingly and applied as per the manufacturers specification and will be inspected during the course of the installation in order to qualify for the 10 year guarantee.
Liquid Systems
Depending on the area to be waterproofed Technicon Construction utilises a number of different liquid applications. These are either :
- Cementitious based
- Acrylic based or
- Bitumen based
Liquid systems are most commonly used in the following applications:
- Dampness on walls
- Sealing of concrete in reservoirs and water retaining structures
- Showers
- Concrete protection
- Flashings on parapet walls and at roof / brickwork interfaces as well as ridges on tiles roofs
- Manholes and subsoil concrete pipes and pipe joins

Send a description of the area to be waterproofed to us via email and include;
- Size of area to be waterproofed
- Description of substrate ( ie Concrete or steel etc )
- Elevated, ground level or underground
- Traffic that will be passing over it on completion ( ie foot or motorised )
- Any finishes which will be covering the waterproofing when complete
and we will reply with a suitable system as well as an estimate for the work.
